Everyday Learning (the “app”) teaches science through short interactive lessons. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising or tracking.
What we collect
Account details: when you sign in with Apple, Google or an email link we receive your email address, your name if you share it, and a user ID. Guests get an anonymous ID only.
Learning progress: lessons finished, XP, level, streak, daily goal, bookmarks and the app language. Full progress stays on your device; a short summary (XP, level, lessons completed, streak, plan, last active date, language, time zone and app version) is saved to your account so it can be restored when you sign in again.
Device token: a push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send app news, if you allow notifications.
Purchases: whether you have Pro, your plan and trial status, handled through Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment details.
Things you send us: problem reports and lesson suggestions you write in the app.
Profile picture: if you sign in with Google, the picture on your Google account is shown on your profile.
How we use it
To run the app: sign you in, save and restore your progress, unlock Pro, send reminders and app news you allowed, and show announcements that fit your language and plan.
To improve lessons, using the reports and suggestions you send.
We do not use your data to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not show third-party ads.
Backups you control
iCloud: if iCloud sync is on, your progress is stored in your own private iCloud database. We cannot read it.
Google Drive: if you sign in with Google, your progress is stored in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive (the drive.appdata scope). The app cannot see any of your other files.
You can turn either off in Settings → Sync and backup.
Services we use
Google Firebase (sign-in, account summary, notifications, remote settings), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, iCloud) and Google (Google sign-in, Google Drive). Each processes data only to provide its service to us, under its own privacy policy.
Notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled on your device. App news is sent as push notifications. Both need your permission, and you can turn them off in Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account summary while you have an account. Delete your account from Settings → Delete account: this removes your account summary and local data. Copies in your own iCloud or Google Drive are yours to delete from those services.
Signing out removes your data from the device but keeps your account so you can sign back in.
Children
The app is made for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how it is used. Use Settings → Report a problem in the app, or the contact below.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
Contact
In the app: Settings → Report a problem.
